[마18:35, 새번역] 너희가 각각 진심으로 자기 형제자매를 용서해 주지 않으면, 나의 하늘 아버지께서도 너희에게 그와 같이 하실 것이다."

[Matthew 18:35, NIV] "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart."

Summary

십자가는 사랑이라고 우리가 배웠지요. 

그래서 예수님을 믿는 그리스도인들도 사랑의 사람들이라고 했어요.

하나님을 사랑하고, 이웃들을 사랑하는 사람들이지요.

We have been taught that the cross is love.That is why Christians who believe in Jesus are said to be people of love.People who love God and love their neighbors.

사랑에도 종류가 많은데, 십자가는 특히 어떤 사랑을 말하는 것인가요? 

예수님이 십자가에 달리신 이유를 생각해보면 되겠지요? 우리의 모든 죄를 용서하셔서 깨끗하고 죄가 없는 하나님의 아들, 딸들이 되게 해주시기 위해서 대신 벌을 받으신 것이죠.

그래서 십자가의 사랑은 다른 말로 용서입니다.

예수님을 믿는 우리는 용서의 사람들이 되어야 하는 것입니다.

There are many types of love, but what kind of love does the cross refer to?Can you think of why Jesus was crucified? He was punished for all our sins so that we could become clean and sinless sons and daughters of God.So the love of the cross is, in other words, forgiveness.We who believe in Jesus are to become people of forgiveness.

그런데, 용서를 잘 하지 못하는 사람들을 보고 예수님이 한 이야기를 해주셨어요.

우리는 모두 예수님께 용서받은 사람들인데, 모든 죄의 대가를 예수님이 다 치러주셔서 우리가 죄에서 자유롭게 되었는데,

다른 사람은 용서해주지 않고, 미운 마음을 계속 가지고 있다면

예수님이 우리를 어떻게 보실까요?

We are all forgiven by Jesus, and Jesus paid the price for all our sins so that we are set free from our sins.If you don't forgive others and you still have a hateful heartHow will Jesus see us?

용서하기 어려울 때는 목사님, 부모님, 선생님과 함께 기도해보세요.

용서의 주님이 우리가 용서할 수 있도록 도와주실 거예요.

용서하고나면 우리가 용서해준 사람은 물론 우리도 더 큰 자유함, 

평안함을 누릴 수 있습니다.

When it is difficult to forgive, pray with the pastor, parents, and teachers.The Lord of Forgiveness will help us to forgive.When we forgive, we can enjoy greater freedom and peace, as well as the person we have forgiven.

사랑하는 주님,

예수님이 십자가를 통해서 우리를 모든 죄로부터 자유롭게 해주셔서 감사합니다. 우리가 받은 용서는 너무나 큰데, 우리는 가끔 다른 사람들의 작은 잘못을 용서해주지 못할 때가 있어요. 용서해주고 싶지 않을 때가 있어요.

그런데 오늘 예수님이 우리에게 용서하라고 말씀하셔서, 더 잘 용서할 수 있는 사람이 되고 싶어요. 넓은 마음 큰 사랑으로 우리를 용서하신 예수님이 우리를 도와주셔서 우리도 그렇게 용서를 잘하는 사람이 되게 해주세요.

예수님, 용서라는 사랑을 주셔서 감사합니다.

예수님 이름으로 기도합니다.

Dear Lord,Thank you Jesus for setting us free from all our sins through the cross. The forgiveness we receive is so great that sometimes we cannot forgive the small mistakes of others. There are times when I don't want to forgive.But today, Jesus told us to forgive, so I want to become a more forgiving person. Jesus, who forgave us with a big heart and great love, help us so that we also can become like-forgiving people.Thank you, Jesus, for the love of forgiveness.
